Trail Run Wine Weekend: The Ultimate Getaway at Mount Avoca

13-15 November

Block out the diary, grab your crew, and pack the tent! We are heading to the Pyrenees for the ultimate weekend of trails, tales, and tasting.

Hosted at the stunning Mount Avoca Winery, the Trail Run Wine weekend is designed to be the perfect getaway for families, mates, and trail lovers. Pitch your tent right on the winery grounds for Friday and Saturday night, wake up amongst the vines, and step straight onto the start line!

The Trails: From Fast Vines to Rugged Ridges. Whether you are stepping up for a massive marathon-distance epic or bringing the kids for the 2.5km Family Verjuice dash, we have a distance for everyone. The courses will have you winding through the beautiful, vine-filled corridors of Mount Avoca and Blue Pyrenees, before pushing up into the rugged ridge lines and gravel tracks of the State Forest.

But this isn’t just about smashing personal bests. It’s about the experience. That’s why our Saturday courses feature the legendary ‘Tasty Trail’ Cheese and Wine Aid Station. Yep, you can literally pause mid-race on the final hill for a nip of wine and a mouthful of soft, salty cheese to power you through to the finish!

Sunday: Relays & Recovery. Keep the festival vibes rolling into Sunday! Team up with your mates for the 21km Cab Sav Laps Relay or do the 3 laps Solo for a 21km backing it up, or shake out the legs with a quick, tasty 5km dash before packing up camp.

The Basecamp Vibe: Friday & Saturday Night. Kick off the weekend right on Friday night by pitching the tent and heading straight to the race village. We’ll have the fire pits blazing, a chill DJ set spinning tunes, and a food truck serving up the goods so you can catch up with the trail crew. The atmosphere ramps up again on Saturday night with live acoustic tunes and the Ute Bar serving up drinks around the fire. You’ll also get a front-row seat to the world’s first-ever night-time Wine Mile Time Trial (WMTT)! It’s a fast, 1.6km sprint around the dam under the stars. The leaderboard will chop and change all night, so grab a drink and cheer your mates into the Hot Seat.

The Ultimate Finisher’s Reward. If you are taking on the big ones—the 42km, 27km, or the 21km events—forget standard medals. When you cross the Trail Run Wine finish line, you’ll be handed a specially engraved wine glass to mark your epic effort. Better yet, the Mount Avoca cellar door will be waiting to fill it with a complimentary beverage of your choice to celebrate a massive weekend!

Get amongst it. See you at the start line!

Run. Ride. Camp. Eat. Relax.
