Saturday Night Wine Mile Time Trial

This may be the world’s first Wine Mile Time Trial. It’s certainly the first one held at night, and we’re pretty confident it’s the only one run in a time trial format!

Trail running has a new event category, and it’s just as entertaining for spectators as it is for runners. As competitors cross the finish line, the leaderboard constantly shifts and changes. Nobody knows who has won until the final runner comes home, keeping everyone guessing right to the very end.

The Wine Mile Time Trial (WMTT) starts and finishes beneath the iconic Big Black Box tree, where the firepit will be blazing, live acoustic music will set the atmosphere, and the Ute Bar will be pouring refreshments throughout the evening.

The course features a short section of trail, some fast open fire roads and a final loop around the dam, where the cheers from the crowd will help carry you to the finish line.

Will you earn a place in the Hot Seat as the fastest runner of the night? At just one mile (1.6km), you won’t have to wait long to find out. Or maybe you will. It all depends on how fast you run.
