It’s a fast start from the Mount Avoca Winery village, racing through vine-lined corridors for the opening 900 metres to spread the field before the real trails begin.

The course features gentle undulations as you wind through the winery’s back bush and past Settler’s Cabin before reaching the gravel roads of the Percydale State Forest. The next 3km provides a great opportunity to open the throttle and chase a personal best 10km trail run time.

Can you hold the pace through the winery’s flowing singletrack? Two short climbs await before you crest the final hill. From there, you can pause at the Cheese and Wine Picnic Spot to take in the view, or charge down the final descent and sprint between the vines before crossing beneath the TRW Finish Arch.
