5km Chardy
It’s a fast start from the Avoca Winery village through the vine-filled corridors of the wine fields, but only for 900m to spread the pack before the real trails begin.
Course undulations are fairly gentle as you wind through the winery’s back bush and past Settler’s Cabin before hitting the gravel tracks of the Percydale State Forest. But not for long as you dart back into the winery trails to crest one final hill where you can choose to stop at our special ‘Tasty Trail’ Cheese and Wine aid station – yep a nip of wine and a mouthful of soft ‘n salty cheese to power you on down the final hill for a sprint between the vines and through the TRW finish arch.
