BIG HILL EVENTS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE TO BE HOSTING THE FELT MTBA AUSTRALIAN MTB MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2009. This is going to be an exciting event. With this announcment will come greater prize money, more riders, strong interstate field, more photographers. We will still be offering the 69 and 38km courses. The event will continue to offer the fully catered aspect and you can expect even more food than the previous 2 years. MARATHON COURSE EXTENDED TO 100KM, 69KM AND 38.5KM COURSE DISTANCES OFFERED UNCHANGED. The 100km course will now see an undulating extension in the furthest section and an additional climb from the 15km to go mark. This climb will will only be in the 100km section and comes with a sensational descent. It will be tougher with the Elite winning time expected to increase from the 2008 reccord of 3:30 to approx 4:15. ENTRIES TO OPEN OCTOBER 2008 2009 RACE DATE 29TH MARCH
